MAHENDRANAGAR: The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal rescued 20 people who were stranded by floodwaters in the Doda and Bahun rivers in Kanchanpur district on Friday. According to the Armed Police Force No. 7 Vaidyanath Battalion in Attariya, five local women who had gone to the Doda River to collect grass were rescued from the riverbank at around 1 pm. Similarly, 15 people who were stranded in the Bahun River due to the flood were rescued safely at 4 pm, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shanti Kumar Rai. The rescued individuals have been taken to a safe location.
