A Calgary man confessed to murdering his two young children, a five-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, before bringing their bodies to a police station. The 37-year-old was taken into custody and faces two first-degree murder charges. He had no prior criminal record and his name has not been released to protect the identity of the children. Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Panamount Boulevard NW around 10 a.m. Monday for a welfare check. The children were not at the home, but police located the father at a police station a short time later. The children were found dead inside a vehicle. Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday. The motive for the killings is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
