UK terror police believe London stabbing suspect was involved in earlier altercation

Two Jewish men were yesterday taken to hospital after being stabbed in the north London suburb, in what has been declared a terrorist incident. The Metropolitan Police said they were called to reports of a stabbing in Golders Green at 1.17pm on Thursday. Two men, aged in their 50s and 60s, were taken to hospital. Their conditions are not life-threatening. A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been taken into custody. The Met Police said Counter Terrorism officers are leading the investigation. They believe the suspect was involved in an altercation earlier in the day. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Golders Green has a large Jewish community.
