Man dies at Dublin Airport after being struck by shuttle bus

A man in his 60s has died after being hit by an airport shuttle bus at Dublin Airport just after midnight. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene after the incident, which occurred shortly after 12am on Friday, April 19. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to the city morgue where a post-mortem will take place. The scene is preserved for a technical examination. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. A Garda spokesperson said: ‘Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following a fatal road traffic incident at Dublin Airport on Friday, 19th April 2024. ‘Shortly after 12:00am, a male pedestrian, aged in his 60s, was struck by a bus. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The scene is currently preserved for technical examination. Enquiries are ongoing.’
