Manipur: Two killed as armed assailants open fire on vehicles on NH-202 near Ukhrul

Two individuals were killed in a shooting incident on National Highway-202 in Manipur. Unidentified armed assailants opened fire on vehicles traveling towards Ukhrul. The attack occurred as the Chief Minister visited Ukhrul. The deceased were identified as residents of Thawai village in Ukhrul district. The incident took place around 4:30 pm on Friday near Lungpha village, approximately 25 km from Ukhrul headquarters. Police have initiated an investigation, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
