North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has observed a test of a high-thrust, solid-fuel engine for weapons, state media reported. The test, conducted at the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground, is seen as a key step in the country's efforts to build more mobile and harder-to-detect intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the U.S. mainland. Kim expressed satisfaction with the results, stating the engine provides a 'sure technological guarantee' for the development of another new-type strategic weapon system.
