This week in cybersecurity by the numbers: Hackers hit a benefits provider, an anime streaming service, and a crime tip platform—exposing millions of sensitive records. Navia Benefit Solutions, which manages employee benefits for thousands of US companies, discovered an intrusion where hackers had access to networks between December 2025 and January 2026, stealing SSNs, dates of birth, and HRA/FSA status for 2.7 million people. Crunchyroll was breached via an outsourced customer service firm, losing 100GB of data including 6.8 million email addresses. Most significantly, P3 Global Intel, used by Crime Stoppers and the US military, was hacked by 'The Internet Yiff Machine,' exposing millions of tips from 1987 to 2025, including the identities of anonymous tipsters.
