Diesel price more than doubles in Vietnam since Middle East war

HANOI, Vietnam: The price of diesel in Vietnam has more than doubled since the start of the war in the Middle East, according to figures released by the trade ministry on Wednesday (Mar 25). The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that the surge is a direct consequence of global supply disruptions and increased risk premiums in the energy market. Officials expressed concern over the impact on the country's industrial output and the potential for cascading price increases across the consumer goods sector.
