The Irish Government is set to introduce a new package of emergency fuel supports tomorrow to address the rapid rise in energy costs. The measures are being finalized at a meeting of the coalition leaders tonight. The surge in prices at the pump and for home heating oil has been attributed to the deteriorating geopolitical situation involving Iran, which has caused volatility in global oil markets. Cabinet is expected to sign off on the measures tomorrow morning before a formal announcement is made to the public.
