Manipur CM meets Kuki Zo Council for 1st time since 2023 unrest

Guwahati: Manipur chief minister Y Khemchand Singh on Saturday sat across the table for the first time with members of the Kuki Zo Council since the ethnic unrest began in May 2023. The meeting marks a significant diplomatic milestone in the state's efforts to restore normalcy and address the grievances of the Kuki-Zo community, which has been at odds with the state administration and the Meitei community for over a year.
