Moringa Supplement Salmonella Outbreak Expands to 119 Cases Across 36 States, Officials Warn

A Salmonella outbreak linked to moringa leaf powder supplements was declared over in March 2026. It is no longer over. Federal investigators reopened the multistate investigation in May after 22 new cases were identified, expanding the outbreak from 97 to 119 cases across 36 states. Multiple brands of moringa leaf supplements have been recalled due to contamination.
