Council says €6m guest house will pay for itself due to cost of homeless accommodation

Dublin City Council bought a 20-bedroom guest house on Gardiner Street in north inner city for emergency housing. A local authority said buying the guest house for a reported €6 million would pay for itself within seven years because of the sky-high cost of providing homeless accommodation.
