Long and dangerous heat wave to roast America from Dallas to New York through July 4th holiday

A long and dangerous heat wave will blast a large swath of the central and eastern United States this week, the National Weather Service said, with temperatures rising ahead of the July Fourth holiday. A heat dome will push indexes to 115°F across the East this week, arriving along with World Cup matches and America 250 celebrations.
